A Difference
I looked upon the world about,
To judge within of things without
And found that things that I would change,
I had not the power to rearrange.
Then my mentality began to reflect
On it's inability to wisely direct;
This concluding thought, from within the storm,
Then came to me in a question form.
Does it make A Difference?
Then I reflected on the wisdom of the source
That set all things in a purposeful course,
Realizing not only His wisdom to direct,
But also His unchallenged power to effect.
And having heard how that the one in control
Had also provided eternal life for the soul.
He, proving that His sovereignty is not impeached;
This momentous decision I conclusively reached.
It does make A Difference.
I considered the things the wise creator had made:
How He'd provided and instructed, and I'd disobeyed.
Seeing my evil, His goodness led me to repent,
And believe on the Son whom the Father had sent.
Then having assurance of forgiveness of sin,
With a life shaping peace now abiding within;
For into my heart I'd received His Word,
Who spoke, and existing reality occurred.
And it made A Difference.
