Dual Citizenship?

                              .       Some teach that our citizenship pluralizes
                                     At the time that we experience the new birth.
                                     And that at that time the dual need arises
                                     To please both heavenly and system on earth.

                                     Whose dire prospect of serving two masters,
                                     That are conclusively, diametrically adverse;
                                     Not seeing, in portent, chiefest disasters,
                                     Difficult to reconcile as blessing and curse.

                                     Since out of this world the Lord called us,
                                     And to it's rudiments we have been crucified.
                                     With such a call as this He enthralled us.
                                     We lost our worldly citizenship when we died.

                                     Then we are not citizens, but sojourn here.
                                     We're ambassadors whom our Savior has sent.
                                     Let us not act as those we're to warn here,
                                     But like the country that we're to represent.
