Grace

                                         There upon the cross of Calvary
                                         The man Christ Jesus took our place;
                                        And there God received the payment,
                                         That we might receive His Grace.

                                         In the realm of God's creation,
                                         Where that life is more than breath,
                                         The absence of a joined relation,
                                         Constitutes the state of death.

                                         Because of sin we were rejected,
                                         Transgressions hid from us His face.
                                         Then He in merit was perfected,
                                         That He might provide us Grace.

                                         Your desire may be to merit,
                                         But if you will see God's face.
                                         It is through Jesus you inherit,
                                         Not by merit, but by God's Grace.
