Ok folks. This is weird, huh? This is a Roberts sibling, but it ain't Wanda, Josie, Patsy, or Leona. It is Vernon in drag.

Here's the scoop on why. My mom said he dressed as a girl because one of his sisters (I'm not going to say which one it was) was dating some fellow that Vernon didn't trust and he wanted to prove to his sister that the fellow wasn't good by dressing as a girl when the fellow came to pick up his sister and he was going to see if the fellow would "hit" on him so he could prove to his sister what a heel she was dating.

While Vernon was wounded by shrapnel in one of his hands during World War 2, and then wounded in the Korean Conflict with shrapnel in the side of his jaw, this photo wasn't of his war wounds. My mom told me that he got into a fight with some other fellow and hit him so hard, that he broke his hand doing so.
